Pet Peeve #3

Tatoos. I hate them. I really do not understand why people get them. Admittedly, I have never been a person who values accessories of any kind, and that is exactly what I view tatoos as: accessories. They are the earings that you loved in the 80's, you know, the big florescent orange hoops that matched one of the two pairs of scrunchy socks that you scrunched over your pegged jeans, only you can never get rid of it. Sucks to be you (if you have a tatoo that is).

Makeup, clothes, tattoos - they are all ways to change the way you look, all ways of expression. I hate clothes myself, but love hoop earings. It sounds to me that you are more pissed that you can't peg your pants anymore. I'm here to tell you, you can.

oh yeah, you can remove all of these.

this is a convoluted way to communicate anyway.

Although distained or even repulsive to some, tattoos can serve a greater purpose. Someone tattooing their daughters face in memory of her being killed by a drunk driver is in fact using it as a tribute. Or even an old Navy Vet who gets the anchor that a million other people have might represent to him, the best and worst times of his life. I can sympathize with those that have naked ladies or devil characters up and down their arms as being eccentric or needy. On the other hand, if you don't have a tattoo it really is impossible to judge them correctly Trish. I speak from experience. Hope this maybe helps with your distorted view of body ink, it is not all for sake of being vain.
