Things I discovered during my trip to Pensacola, Florida:
1. My hair does not react well to humidity.
2. Pensacola is the poor man's Guam. If you've ever been to both, you know what I mean.
3. Pensacola bathrooms rarely provide toilet seat covers, however, if they do, they will not be in individual stalls, but provided near the hand-drying materials. You must know this and have the foresight to bring your own into the stall with you.
4. There are really places in the world where people say "y'all" and mean it; Pensacola is one of them.
5. "how's y'all's sweet tea?" is not an uncommon question in Pensacola.
6. Pensacola Junior College does exist, and people are so proud to have attended that they display stickers on their cars and various other belongings with the abbreviation: "PJC," seemingly disclaim their intelligence.
7. California really is the greatest state in the nation.

So since I'm from Pensacola, should I be offended, dear? I took a class at PJC too : P
You only had to spend a week, I spent 9 years there. You never made it to Milton while you were there. I thought inbred was just a word until I went to Milton......Glad to see your Blogging again : )
That post made me 'lol' for real.
Wow!! What part of Pensacola did ya'll hang out in? Too bad you missed the beautiful historical districts, the sugar white beaches, and the people who really wanted to know if your tea needed more sugar (they would have brought you more if you needed it).
And yes we are proud of PJC and UWF (University of West Florida). PJC is recognized, both locally and nationally, as a leader in technical training and has provided training for high skilled jobs.
As for California, been there a few times. It nice. But the smog nearly killed me. Not too particular about earthquakes and landslides. At least with a hurricane I have warning to get out of town.
Also, I wonder about a state that elects Schwarzenegger for Governor.
Ya'll come back now, ya hear.
Pensacola Junior College is a wonderful educational institution. What's wrong with a community that endorses a higher education? California is the armpit of Satan. It's crime-ridden, polluted, expensive, and prone to semi-annual natural disasters. Don't get me started on the politics. Pensacola is a wonderful place, and if you are lucky or smart enough to come again, you should get a better tour guide. Obviously, your first tour guide sucked.
